You do not open the app to find out something arrived. It is already there. Two of the biggest apps in this category still make you go and look.
A drawing is never cleared until the server has it.
Someone spent forty minutes of their evening on it. It waits in an outbox through a dead tunnel, a flat battery and a force quit, and it sends when it can.
Your history is not a subscription feature.
